Probate Courts have exclusive jurisdiction over the probate of wills and the administration of estates. Probate Courts also have jurisdiction over guardianships and conservatorships. Probate Court Clerk’s duties and records in Franklin County were transferred from the County Clerk to the General Sessions Court Clerk on July 7, 2006. The Tennessee law that required the transfer can be found in T.C.A. 18-6-106.
